Webb21 juli 2024 · North Captiva island is one of my favorite places to visit. It is old Florida at it's finest. The island is so tropical, full of sea and land wildlife, and secluded. The people who live and vacation there are so friendly. The servers and employees we interacted with were warm and welcoming. We stayed at the Fish Tales house and loved it! Webb24 jan. 2024 · North Captiva Island is relatively small, about four miles long and half a mile wide. The entire southern half of the island is an undeveloped state park, so there are no houses built in that area. Depending on the time of year, at low tide, you can sometimes walk down the beach from the northern to southern tip!
