Crystalline cataract
WebCrystalline keratopathy is a condition in which crystals are deposited in the corneal epithelium and/or anterior stroma. Affected individuals frequently present to the ophthalmologist with symptoms of pain, decreased vision or photophobia. WebCataracts occur internally. One of the normal anatomical structures of the eye is called the crystalline lens. The crystalline lens participates in our ability to see clearly. If the crystalline is clear, we are able to see clearly. If the crystalline lens is opaque for whatever reason, we will not be able to see as clearly as desired.
